An Open Letter to the People of Alberta Fellow Albertans, The referendum on Alberta's future is one of the most important votes our province has ever held. Whatever side you're on, every one of us deserves a result we can trust. If the referendum fails and there are real signs that the mail-in ballots weren't handled properly, we shouldn't just accept it and move on. We should stand up peacefully, legally and together, and make ourselves heard. Why this matters A vote only means something when people believe it was counted fairly. Mail-in voting can be useful, but it needs strong checks: who asked for a ballot, how identities and signatures were confirmed, how ballots were stored and transported, and how they were counted. If those checks are weak or kept out of public view, doubt grows. Albertans have every right to ask hard questions and expect clear answers. What we're asking for A full, independent audit of all mail-in ballots, open to scrutineers from every side. Public reporting of mail-in results by electoral division, compared with in-person voting and past turnout. A clear explanation of how voter identity and signatures were checked, and how many ballots were rejected and why. A new, fair vote if the audit finds serious problems. How we make noise: with our wallets Big corporate chains, from Dairy Queen to Costco, make huge money from Alberta families every single day. That gives us real power. Until we get answers, I'm asking every Albertan to: Buy only what you truly need from the big chains, and nothing more. Spend the rest at local, Alberta-owned businesses: family shops, farms, butchers, diners and small stores. Tell those businesses why you're there, and tell the chains why you're not. Write to your MLA and Elections Alberta and ask for the audit. Share this letter with your family, friends and neighbours. When the big chains feel it in their bottom line, they'll pay attention, and so will the people in power who listen to them. Keep it peaceful This only works if we do it the right way. No threats, no damage and no harassing workers, who are our neighbours too. A calm, united and determined Alberta is far stronger than an angry one. We win by sticking together and staying on message. Our province, our voice Albertans built this province with hard work, and we've always looked out for each other. We're not asking for special treatment. We're asking for a fair count, an open process and the respect of being heard. Let's cut off the big chains' easy money, support our own people and make some noise until we get the answers we deserve. Stand together. Shop local. Demand a fair vote. Signed,
