For those wondering why the choir community is so angry, this video sums it up. Why is this allowed but I'm not allowed to run a rehearsal in a distanced, controlled, ventilated space. @DCMS @DCMSArts @OliverDowden @MattHancock #singingmatters #angry #letussing

@JRK_81 We've been trying to mix it up with wraps, muffins, puff pastry things, toasties. I can't wait to sit in a cafe for weekend lunch though!!

Normally at this time of year my amazing @gleeclubuk would be getting ready to perform at Christmas light switch on events. Obviously, that's not happening this year, so we're having our own Christmas lights switch on, we just need a celebrity to zoom in & 'switch on'. Anyone?!

@InspectorMuso ... and research is stating that singing poses no more risk than speaking. It's the volume of sound coming from the mouth rather than the type of sound.

@InspectorMuso I'm only singing with the little ones at the moment, mainly because they have more space in their classrooms. Just a few songs at a time, all sorts and windows open, spaced out. Government guidance is that it's ok in bubbles with distancing and ventilation...

@InspectorMuso @MrsHFQ @Molevintage @tigerrector Oh and only within bubbles. It's been left to me if I sing or not. I will with eyfs and ks1, I may leave ks2 for now, I don't want to encourage quiet singing all the time.

@InspectorMuso @MrsHFQ @Molevintage @tigerrector Updated guidance that came out at 10pm on Friday has removed the number 15. You can sing, but in well ventilated areas (outside if possible) and quietly and children spaced out.

Yes 😆! Singing assemblies are such an awesome part of my job. Who knows when we'll be able to sing together as a whole school again, but I'm already compiling the song list for the occasion!
