On paper, I’m in my 50’s & it’s really confusing… In my head, I’m 35. At a concert, I’m 25 After 10pm, I’m 72. Getting up off the floor, I’m 93. When someone makes me mad, I’m 2 BUT- When an 80’s song comes on, I’m 17, drunk in a field, & my mom thinks I’m at a sleepover 🤪

@FoxNews Is this for real? The NFL and individual teams bring in over two and a half BILLION dollars a year from beer sponsorships. Who’s the one promoting ‘poor taste’ here?

If you want to go back to pioneers, you have to look at Joan Baez. She predates Joplin by about 6 or so years, but she was more folk music. If you want to stick with rock or blues (which was Joplin’s wheelhouse) you have to mention Big Mamma Thornton. She made Hound Dog famous long before Elvis, but she didn’t write it. She did, however, write Ball and Chain, which made Joplin, still relatively new at the time, an icon from her live performance of the song at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967.

@Lmaster99 @KobeissiLetter Are you suggesting that the economic policies and pressure tactics by US should be the same for the 9th biggest national economy in the world, 2.6 trillion, as it is for the 50th-something at less than 500B? Nearly half of the US states have a larger economy than Iran.

Freddy, glad to see you are back and enjoying the games. My thoughts on what may be hard to comprehend is the personal relationship, the affinity most college fans have with a particular school. Most fans either attend, attended or have a close friend or family member who has or does. It's "THEIR" team. It's something different than simply residing in a town or country and routing for your local team. The relationship with a college team is more visceral. That's how I see it (and feel it).

This has nothing to do with the race of the juror as a member of the jury. It has everything to do with how liberals, like Gayle King, dictate from on high what blacks are supposed to think; and how shocked King is to learn that one black man escaped the plantation that she took part in creating; and now this black man thought for himself. That's what this is about -- her reaction.

I think you are conflating or glossing over some critical issues of the 1964 campaign. Sure, Goldwater may have advocated for those issues mentioned, but they were not the key turning points that lead to his wipe out. We have to recall the time period, 20 years after the A-Bomb in Japan, and just 2 years after the Cuban Missile Crises. The “daisy” tv ad was devastating to Goldwater and branded him and republicans as warmongers. He was against the civil rights acts, albeit for Constitutional reasons, at a time when race tension and riots were rampant. His support amount blacks dropped into the single digits when Nixon in 1960 had 30%+. Additionally, Reagan advocated for many of those policies mentioned and he won two landslides, both bigger than Johnson’s.
