@ThePrimeagen For back-end stuff, I really like gPRC with Avro or Protobufs. Front end - doesn’t work in every case, but sometimes just sending back plain ol HTML (SSR and/or HTMX 👀) In all honesty though, still gonna use a lot of JSON.

@traversymedia I would say it’s worth learning just to be able to support legacy apps and systems that may rely on it. I wouldn’t build anything new with it, but being able to work with old codebases is something that you’ll inevitably run into if you work at mid-size to large organizations.

Did you know you can use {}s in Bash/Zsh to create multiple files at once? $ touch Button.{js,css,stories.js,test.js} This will create 4 files all named Button, one with a .js extension, one with .css, one with .stories.js, and one with .test.js! ✨
