Hundreds out so far at anti-sprawl rally at #hamont city hall. They have signs for folks, but you have to grow your own costume.

I had a chance to speak with @AndreaHorwath this morning and congratulate her on making history as the first woman mayor of #HamOnt, an achievement we should all celebrate. I pledged to help her in any way I can to improve this incredible city.

Dispersal was going slowly at fake HoCo until a couple of helpful idiots launched a few smoke flares into the crowd. Police hustled them out and are now more actively urging everyone off the street. #Hamont

Busier now at fake homecoming on Dalewood. Police have gently cleared one lawn of partygoers by resident request, but otherwise everyone is comparatively cheery and, for example, not hanging off trees or rooftops #hamont

Police out in force patrolling west end #Hamont neighbourhoods eyed for unsanctioned street parties this aft. City trucks are blocking access to Dalewood Ave and nearly every home for two blocks has police tape blocking access. Bit surreal.

Interesting/worrisome CORRECTION: I wrote there were no #HamOnt cycling deaths last year based on city collision report - but there WAS one, on Eastport Drive. City says not reflected in its data because Ontario manages that section of road. Tricky... How often does this happen? twitter.com/TheSpec/status…
