Today we honour Roberto Clemente, who began his professional baseball career in Montreal. It’s amazing how many great baseball stories have come out of this city, but not surprising. Baseball has been played here for over 150 years - longer than in all but a few cities.

With cancer, I am learning to be grateful for, and celebrate, each small step forward. Surgical wounds are healed and was allowed to get in a swim - arms only - before the next surgery. Honouring those living with cancer and their families, and every step or stroke they take!

Today, I walked my dog. Many of you know, I just went through 9 extremely rough rounds of chemo. I couldn't even walk through my house without losing my breath. I set a hard goal for myself. To walk my dog again. I DID it!! I am SO happy and proud of myself! #FxckCancer
Through chemotherapy, I have one goal every day. To do something I could not do the day before. Today I sat on my stationary bike and took my first tentative pedals. Can’t wait to one day get back on my triathlon bike! One small step, one day at a time.
