@sapperadam @Cardiffguy2022 It does not matter about the “likelihood”, it’s about the impact should it occur. I’m guessing you’ve never got to 40mph on your bike or you’d know that you cannot alter your trajectory that easily. Physics and that.

@righttobikeit The law may not apply to cyclists, but you will still kill a pedestrian at 40mph on a cycle (and probably yourself). Try and take it as a a bit of safety advice rather than an attack on cyclists.
