Say ‘no’ to what’s not critical so you can say ‘yes’ to your priorities.
“Nobody wants to show you the hours and hours of becoming. They’d rather show you the highlight of what they’ve become.” @angeladuckw
“There are no gains without pains.” Benjamin Franklin
“If you really want to make something a daily practice, you need to make sure that you block that time out each day, protect that time jealously and measure it.” itsyourturnblog.com/a-year-of-foll…
Before 2017 ends don’t forget to: -Recognize your accomplishments and give yourself kudos -Reflect on lessons learned and knowledge gained -Acknowledge your mistakes and missteps so you can learn from them -Figure out what gives you joy and what you’re truly passionate about
Oprah and Jim Carey talk about the power of visualizing your success youtube.com/watch?v=I0XGdB…
We had our first sold out workshop last night. Here are the slides from the session. slideshare.net/schlaf/one-cha…
How to foster a beginner’s mind: -Focus on questions, not answers -Discard fear of failure -One step at a time -Fall down, get back up -Acknowledge when you don't know -Avoid pre-judging -Live without shoulds -Keep an open mind -Stop being an expert -Experience the moment fully
“Watch your thoughts for they become words; watch your words for they become actions; watch your actions for they become habits; watch your habits for they become your character; watch your character for it becomes your destiny." – Ralpho Waldo Emerson
The five Ps of behavior change 1. Petite steps 2. Patience 3. Persistence 4. Practice 5. Positivity
Focus on creating new behaviors you actually want. If you feel you ‘should’ start a certain habit then it’s probably not the right one.
When working towards a goal, remember to bring these on your journey: Patience. Persistence. Practice.
"They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself." -Andy Warhol
@NicolasUkropina @schlaf We are close to filling the role. Thank you for your interest. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
“Everything can be taken from a man but one of the last of the human freedoms - to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” -Viktor Frankl
When starting a new habit, it should be so easy you have no excuse.
If you truly want to create a new behavior or habit don’t forget to attach a positive emotion to the end of the routine. This will help it stick.
“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.” Alan Watts
Repeat over and over: progress, not perfection.
