Here is our view of the finger of god near Harlan, Iowa, incredibly visible from long range. The DOW team estimated 224 mph surface winds with this wedge. We were blocked by down trees after intercepting the Council Bluff tornado @EdgarONealWX

Just got done with Sulphur! Long hard day, so much goes into ratings! This was extremely eye opening! @NWSNorman and @TornadoTornado doing amazing work to do the “forensic investigations” to give the truth of what happened on the ground!
- *PRELIMINARY* Damage Survey Updates / April 27th, 2024 / Results Subject to Change - 1. Ardmore, OK: EF2 (130-135 mph) 2. Sulphur, OK: EF3+ (165+ mph) 3. Holdenville, OK: EF3 (140-145 mph) 4. Marietta, OK: EF4 (170 mph) ⤵️
Check out this composite aerial from the Marietta EF4 tornado! The tornado had a very thin and intense core, leading to damage like this where the center of the building is carved.
Another day, but I’m praying for the victims and there family’s. It could have been a lot worse, thankfully it wasn’t. Still insane to me those nighttime tornadoes and how most of us didn’t think it would happen until it happens. You must have to be ready for anything.
This was definitely one of the worse outbreaks we have had in a while. I’m really surprised that we didn’t see an injury or fatality with the Elkhorn, OK tornado, knowing how many people was in the path of that tornado. At the end of they thankfully most of people lived
April 25-28 confirmed tornadoes so far. This was an insane 3 day outbreak so far 88 tornadoes have been confirmed and there’s likely more. Unfortunately, there were 5 confirmed fatalities with all of that. It is possible that we can see 2 EF4’s as well *Marietta and Sulphur*.

Rather than a tractor trailer, this looks more like debris from the Dollar General Distribution Center that the tornado struck after crossing I-35.
