@yenoms @Mr_Neutral_Man Wow didn’t realize they are getting 14-15% levered on CRE CLO AAA that’s crazy. One thing is just that if they think they’re being sold off indiscriminately and at a real discount, why they aren’t selling some MBS to repurchase stock? 8mm seems pretty immaterial

@EconomPic You can’t just discount it like that. Actual mortgage pricing would take into account the probability that you would prepay the mortgage (whether it be for a life event or maybe you just don’t want to have debt, etc.)., so your loan is probably marked at a low 80s dollar price

@shaskell12 I mean it makes sense. Capital rules under the Basel framework have made it pretty punitive to hold loans on BS unless they are very conservatively underwritten, so all of the hairier stuff goes to go to the CMBS universe. No borrower is going to use CMBS if they don’t have to
