@JoeyMannarinoUS It seems pretty disingenuous to ask why someone is voting for a candidate without taking into account their opponent. Biden’s administration has helped get through the CHIPS Act, the PACT Act, the IIJ Act, and the IR Act. All three have a long term investment in the US economy.

@Uncouth_Bard @NavyInnovator … The AR-15 was designed for Vietnam and was later developed into the M-16. It is a great gun. It’s reliable, and I remember from the first time I shot one how little kick it has. I think the argument is easily made that it can do more damage than the other weapons mentioned.

@Uncouth_Bard @NavyInnovator I know the arguments you’re talking about, but using them in this context builds a straw man. The OP compared the AR15 to other weapons that have been banned because it can do more damage. That doesn’t have to mean that it’s more powerful with a single shot…

@NavyInnovator @Uncouth_Bard Gotcha. I was wondering because I didn’t see anything stupid about the post itself. I think we do need more discourse on gun control in the US. Also, not everyone who speaks on gun lacks knowledge on the subject.

@SarahisCensored It’s about context. If I perform tests for a rare disease on a person, I would say that the person is negative for the rare disease. That doesn’t become a slur. Your logic is flawed.

But it doesn’t mean that a datapoint is enough to see the truth in how the world works. Twitter is also a terrible format to have philosophical debates.

Working 90 hours a week means that you’re working more than 12hr days for 7 days a week or 18 for 5. I did similar work when I was single and not raising kids. First, no one should be expected to work that regularly…
