learning to pause and evaluate before a response instead of reacting on the spot when in conflict is an important relational skill. it’s also indicative of emotional maturity in another person if they do this.

it feels like every few weeks as a black person you’ll see a phrase or word you’ve heard since your childhood randomly blow up on social media, and then that word/phrase you’ve literally heard FOREVER gets played out by corporations and non-blacks in a matter of weeks

When a child is regularly screamed at, shamed, or harshly criticized, they don’t use logic. They fully feel trauma impact in the nervous system & their brain development. Later, this will be called: depression, anxiety, bipolar, or borderline.

i’m so tired of abortion rights being framed around truly tragic circumstances like assault and incest. if you get pregnant & you don’t want to be pregnant, it is your right over your own body that is under siege. no one, including a fetus, can use your body against your consent.

And birth control is one of those things that is NOT one size fits all. I had to go through 4 different forms of it before I found one that didn’t make me suicidal, hormonal, and fatigued 24/7. Women don’t have the luxury to afford to do that.

MIND YOU, that trump executive order that let insurance companies choose if they wanna cover certain birth controls or not is still in order. Contraception became incredibly expensive under his administration. My free birth control spiked to $50 a month.
