A group of us visited the Six Nations blockade in support of Wet'suwet'en. All but one of us were of carribean descent and most of us were black women. In front of the blockade were several police cars with their lights flashing. Our guide, drove right past them to enter.

These actions are escalating the situation that could be peaceful 1. RCMP need to stand down 2. A mediator, agreed on by all parties needs to be appointed 3. All authorities that are involved in the situation need to meet without pre determined solutions!

That's right: the Wet'suwet'en hereditary chiefs gave *an alternate route* to Coastal GasLink. One they were okay with because it avoided ecologically pristine and culturally important areas. And Coastal GasLink refused. DO NOT let this info get lost in misleading rhetoric.
