if you are currently feeling overwhelmed, here is a reminder that you can slow down. take a deep breath. remember that you don't have to make it all happen right away. you can just take things one day, one moment, one breath at a time. 💗
negative emotions like guilt and shame may feel like what we deserve, but they weigh us down instead of moving us forward. it's okay to let go of what doesn't serve you anymore. you are allowed to forgive yourself. ❤️
A story is not a static thing. Neither are you. Your story has not finished taking shape yet. There are still so many chapters and pages left for you to discover. 📖💖
however you want to celebrate (or not celebrate) halloween is totally and completely valid. there are no expectations for how your holidays have to look, as long as you're enjoying them. 🎃🧡

it's okay if you can only do the bare essentials right now. you don't have to do anything amazing or go the extra mile. do the bare minimum. let everything else fall by the wayside, and don't feel bad about it. ❤️👍
It's never too late to start again: to pick up an old hobby, to break a negative cycle, or (re)start something that benefits you. No matter how much it may feel like it, you're never too far gone to grow. 🤍🌱
it's okay if life is too much for you today. you don't have to meet anyone's standards, and you have permission to take things at your own pace. ❤️
often, chronically ill and disabled people are forced to adapt to the world rather than the world becoming more accessible. when we can't adapt for any reason, we feel like we're failing. this is your reminder that you're not failing, the systems are. you are enough. ❤️

What did you do this year? Not much, I was sick* *survived, slept, stared blankly at the wall, thought about death, thought about life, woke in a cold sweat, watched endless hours of TV, tried to think, fought like hell, ruminated on my soul, felt anger, grief, solidarity & love
