@cian2me Final day in ‘99? Arsenal were relying on Spurs to take something from Utd. I think.

Lovely woman, lovely story, lovely event. Well done @LadiesFootball for celebrating the volunteers. Nicely filmed by @MQ_Video in @CrokePark, where the event sponsor was @currentacc_ie

@cian2me @FCBarcelona Villa were relegated 5 years after winning the European Cup. Probably hadn’t spent as much money as Barca though.

@cian2me I’m currently the age that you were, when I was your student. Which I find difficult to comprehend 😄

@cian2me Liar's Poker #1 for me. One of very few books that I've read more than once.

@cian2me @ForumTL @TheUSI @nuigalway As your biased cousin, I’m delighted to hear that. As your former student, I’m not remotely surprised.

@klillington Addition to your "attractiveness" list. Advantage when competing against other locations to be European hub for these companies is time zone. From experience, 4pm-6pm (8am-10am in Pacific Time) is critical for cross-Geo work. That window cut by 50% for Amsterdam,Paris, etc.

@cian2me @Arsenal No fun watching them anymore without Grealish playing. Hopefully he’s back. Otherwise best can hope for is 0-0.

@cian2me A legend for sure. His lectures were always fun, and I would say had the highest % turnout of any module our class had. Which was no coincidence.

@cian2me Definitely! Although Villa tended to win at The Emirates prior to Covid too😆. The business model aspect is very interesting, and will throw up different dynamics in different leagues I'm sure.
