@DiaryofaSickGrl Rotary washing line? Then sort laundry by size, wash smallest items first, and hang up on the inside lines of the dryer, leaving the longer outer lines for larger items. Colour really doesn't matter except for new, dark things.
@DiaryofaSickGrl I call it “no wasted trips”: if I have to go up or down the stairs for any reason, I take something with me. Need to go change my laundry? I can bring the slow cooker back downstairs with me. Need to get a sweater from upstairs? I can put away the book I finished.
@DiaryofaSickGrl We all became well acquainted with hand sanitizer thanks to covid, but did you know that it is a fantastic degreaser? Have a grease stain on your blouse or pants? Dab it with hand sanitizer before washing. Works well on stubborn stains on cookware, stoves, even clogged drains!

@broadwaybabyto I'm so sorry. Visiting anyone should be done with respecting the hosts boundaries. Especially if that person is immune compromised. I'm glad you can rationalise that it's a then issue, not yours. 🫂

@broadwaybabyto A visit isn't something you do TO someone, it's an activity you do WITH someone. They aren't entitled to access your body however they like, that's incredibly rude and dismissive. You absolutely did the right thing.
@slumkoski This is sick. I am sorry this is happening. I mask 100% of the time with my class and will continue even if I deem it unnecessary for my own protection, because it is community care. I am thankful to my son's teacher who masks in solidarity. Sending much love to your family.

Lastly please keep sharing your stories… even the hard ones. It helps people feel they’re less alone and it’s important to bear witness to the suffering & abandonment many are dealing with. Plus you never know when you might change a heart & mind and possibly save a life. /end
There are many people who refuse to acknowledge the realities of chronic illness and who won’t accept that we are still in a global pandemic. It’s a dangerous combination of denial and willful ignorance - one that results in people like me being pressured into taking risks. /16
If you’re struggling with people like this in your life - please know you’re allowed to set and stick to personal boundaries. You’re not abnormal, you’re not robbing people of joy and you’re no less deserving of happiness than anyone else. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. /17
It’s getting harder and harder to find people who genuinely support disabled individuals - ableism is rampant and eugenicist attitudes are growing at an alarming pace. But there ARE good people out there. We need to find & cherish them. /18
In my experience people with disabilities are often some of the kindest, smartest & most resilient people you will ever meet - because they’ve known suffering & they’ve learned compassion. Compassion for themselves and for others. /14
Needless to say that’s another friendship lost. But I’m also finding it very hard to process that people who know me & know what I’ve been through can still think this way about disabled people. I share my struggles with them to encourage compassion for ALL disabled people /11

@jadrobe Having a unified front was very important to them. Behind closed doors they argued *a lot* but it never came up when we were being raised, especially when we were young
I’ve never had a kitten (or cat) before. I think she likes me. She’s currently asleep tucked against my leg but earlier she was climbing and sitting on me! Cat people is this good?
