I think it’s good to eliminate “just” from your technical explanation vocabulary (“Just type in…”) because it minimizes what could be a new or strange concept to the person you’re talking to. Especially true when you don’t know everything about their background (so, always).

i spend too much time re-reading my own obsessive bug recaps (“here’s what was wrong and here’s why i fixed it the way i did” or “here’s how we tracked down the issue”) and being like “wow this is good i’m proud of the person who wrote this”

several of the bugs i’ve encountered recently have been issues with storing derived state (#redux). really hammering home the “bad. derived state bad. use createSelector.”
