@dannoyes This is so horrible and terrible. Restraining orders don’t matter to people bent on hurting someone. I wish she was more protected. My whole heart goes out to her family and children. I pray for them and I hope he pays for this with his life.

@RossBRomano @marcjalbanese @JerrySeinfeld @tferriss Yes! A whole 6 weeks for Stephen King (he’s writing novels and not a sitcom or comedy so I guess more time make sense). But I love how King says the distance makes it easier to “kill your darlings” when you edit.

@gmiller @FitFounder I’m eating kale for lunch right now. Sautéed with onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, lemon juice. It’s delicious.

@Writer_Novice_ Makes me too tired. And recovery time takes too long. Got too much to do with four kids (one’s 6 months) can’t be down that long!

@JTorreCoaching Love the not all thoughts need to be said. Simple concept, takes effort to put into practice. At least for me. Great journal!

@laur_fisch @Oprah I heard someone say “it’s what you do most of the time that matters” not what you do “sometimes” and that helped a bit. Sometimes you fall off, but most of the time you stay true. I just hate to see that visual break in a streak, especially if I’m tacking in an app.

@p_millerd I don’t know… a steady salary and tech job helped me grow up. The responsibility helped me mature. It’s what allowed me to raise my daughter as a young single mother in a crazy expensive area. I think it depends a lot on your background and circumstances.

@JTorreCoaching I haven’t read it fully yet (on my list!) but Cal Newport’s book Deep Work talks about this too. How email and chat are distracting and even open floor plans at work.

“I SAW THE ANGEL IN THE MARBLE AND CARVED UNTIL I SET HIM FREE.” —Michelangelo This quote on creativity reminds me of how Stephen King describs stories as fossils buried in the ground. And as writer, your job is to dig them up & transcribe them. (From his book “On Writing”)
