@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Time eludes me but I even remember you getting some shit for an anti toxic positivity post awhile back. Haven't been in awhile but toxic positivity didn't really strike me as a particularly Scottish trait

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Yeah I get that it's definitely late, I myself would hardly ever do it. To cap things off you're touching on it a bit but you just couldn't be more wrong about your assumptions on myself and even Jade. Your legitimate reasons don't change that nor protect you from overstepping..

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial And in that world, how the hell do you succeed. You want everyone to be an enemy don't be surprised when they turn out to be.

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Honestly man I'd maybe just take a break (me included after my last post) and maybe reassess things. I think after this interaction there is no possible way I could have had you read me as a friendly face. You would have painted me as an enemy no matter what I had said.

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial And if it's ideology I grew up in rural Florida if that matters at all to this conversation. Real talk here man, you're a fucking idiot if you are my senior. And I'm not saying that out of anger, I mean that in the same way I'd point at the sky and say "that's the sky"

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial HAVE NEVER landed despite killer resumes and talent. Smarmy tribal people don't wish you well and want to hear about your game and chat over discord to shoot the shit.

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial ... interested in a genuine interaction or just wasting both of our time.

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Dawg you've basically just called me a cunt throughout all our interactions how do I not discount that? As for anything else I kind of have to read between the lines. Not going to reply to you anymore unless it's over voice. You caught me in a weird mood you either are...

@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial For a variety of reasons these days, but definitely one of those being better able to gate off harassment.

@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial God those were the days, still pouring one out for Huxley. Yeah I definitely get that. To your point if someone were to ask my advice on going independent I'd recommend both to make social media a focus as well as do your best to anonymize yourself.

@SeaCritDev @jadel4w @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Going to be up for the next hour I mean it all genuinely. Not trying to fight just if you're really of the belief I'm gaming Hitler despite this limited interaction hey you can tell gaming Hitler yourself everything you've been thinking.

@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Yeah I'm of the opinion we are too connected online. Online equivalent of stuck in a crowded house party. Amazing how when in person/over voice shit calms. I read it as stress response, house party is just getting louder. At least that's my feelings when I get wrapped up in it.

@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Also genuinely the AAA industry missing the boat on newer generations I think. If I was younger the fascination people have with franchises like Halo would frustrate the hell out of me. Not our fault which is our point, but I get the feeling from the outside.

@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial I think if he's on the younger side I kind of get it. Like imagine you stumble into Kern's field of influence or someone similar. You have a guy who we'd wipe the floor with on any real game dev metric with outsized influence. Consequences of narratives vs reality.

@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial That being said yeah if he's just going to take all his frustrations and turn me into the ultimate boogeyman can't do much with that. Brother if you think I've ever been at the helm of industry level decisions you have a high opinion of me. Much more than my bosses.

@jadel4w @SeaCritDev @_ArturoLagos_ @georgebsocial Yeah you're probably right. I definitely empathize with what I think his general feelings are though. Especially growing up trying to break in for near a solid decade and seeing where the industry is now. Nightmare stuff now when you have talented senior devs out for years.
