For Kings fans upset that we can never seem to beat the Oilers: Between 1959 and 1984 the Lakers faced the Celtics 8 times in the NBA finals, and lost every single time. (They finally won in 1985)
Kings have no answer for Oilers big three. And the Kings don’t have a big three. Kings don’t even have a big one.
If Kempe scores the game winner, I’ll use the J-word.
I think tonight is the series for the Kings. They lose, they're done. And honestly, I don't see them winning regardless. But if they catch Edmonton thinking "Oh this is easy" they MIGHT be able to sneak one and hope their late season home record can help them when they get back.
You guys, the Kings are a middle of the road team. No where near a Stanley Cup contender. They have no chance in this series. And it’s all on Blake. PLD’s anchor contract will be his legacy. Hopefully the final nail in his coffin.

Skinner is so fucking beatable. I think that’s what bothers me the most. The Kings should be able to win games if they can score 4+ goals.

I hate to be an I-Told-You-So guy. Talbot is a subpar goaltender, mediocre on his best day. This isn’t new. He is who he is … and the reason we have subpar goaltending is directly because of the horrific PLD contract. #GoKingsGo
You guys, the Kings are a middle of the road team. No where near a Stanley Cup contender. They have no chance in this series. And it’s all on Blake. PLD’s anchor contract will be his legacy. Hopefully the final nail in his coffin.
@jlock4820 Many of us have been saying this since they fell apart after that Islanders loss. But we are bad fans because we don’t BELIEVE 24/7. This team will likely be mid tier for many years to come without significant changes in personnel both on and off the ice.
Watching them play poorly vs Anaheim, Minnesota and Chicago, not getting great momentum going into the playoffs, showed this team was not playoff ready. Edmonton is head and shoulders better. Anything can happen, that’s why they play the games, but this is worst case to my eyes
This Kings team is exactly who we’ve seen play for the better part of the second half of the season and the concerns many of us expressed after seeing their poor performance over the last week of the season against bad teams, seems to have come to fruition.
One team got better in the offseason and at the trade deadline. One team did not. I can’t honestly think how anyone logically expects the #GoKingsGo to win this series. At some point we have to take off the “homer” hats and face reality.
Don’t take things too personally. Rarely do people do things because of you; they do things because of them.
