Photographers, are you focusing only on your follower counts? Think beyond the numbers! Engagement is key. Do you really know who truly values your work? The people that will buy your products and services.

Perfection stops you from developing your photography business. Perfection gets in the way of creation. Perfection gets in the way of execution. Perfection leads to overthinking. Perfection leads to procrastination.

Landscape photographers often struggle to sell their work. They use strategies that used to work, but work no longer. Posting images on Facebook and Instagram is not marketing without a strategy behind it.

Building an audience means fostering conversations and connections. Posting images without words tends not to spark conversations. Are we spoiled when it comes to seeing photos? Do photographers need to use more words to win in business?

The best way to learn anything fast: 1. Teach what you learn 2. Apply what you learn 3. Create content around what you learn You will retain 90% of the information this way. Passive learning is not an effective use of your time.

Hard work is not enough to build a profitable photography business. You also need to work smart. You need to work efficiently, not just tirelessly.

Do you think photography marketing is just posting images? People buy from those who educate, engage, and add value. What value do you offer your audience? What’s your message?

Do photographs tell more than words? You can not address your ideal audience with just a photo. Everyone is attracted by great photos. If you try to attract everyone, you attract no one. Photographers - learn to write.

In a population you're targeting: - 3% will buy now - 7% are open to buy - 30% are interested but not now - 30% are not interested - 30% will never buy even if it was for free Most businesses go for the 3% and forget about the 37% that might buy later. What about you?

Success is not defined by the number of followers you have, but by the impact you have on those who follow you.

You can't pay your bills with likes and comments on Instagram. Followers are a vanity metric until they give you money.

Value lies in solving problems, bridging gaps, and benefiting others. The bigger problems you solve the more money you make.

Why is it so hard NOT to spend a lot of time on people you want to repel, those who always complain? And rather spend more time on customers and your best audience, those who enlighten you?

To change a photo, you must change perspective. Zooming does not make a better picture. When you can not convert your followers into customers, more followers will not change anything. Instead, change perspective and see your business from a different angle.

If your photography business is not profitable, would you invest in better equipment or better marketing? Doing more of what is not working will not help.

It makes me sad when I see photographers talking about starting a business, and their main concern is if they should use Fuji or Sony gear. Do you think it matters for your business?

You don't have to be everywhere online! Focus on the platforms where your ideal audience lives, breath, & scrolls. The big mistake many photography businesses make is to jump from platform to platform when the results are lacking.
