Given that Charlie Kirk’s whole brand was “I have the right to say outrageous things” (which he did, or should have anyway), it’s pretty wild to see the whole right jump to present him as this mild mannered moderate who never said anything radical or provocative.
The 16-year-old Denver mass shooter had an account on a site where you can watch videos of people dying violently, was obsessed with the Columbine shooting, and was encouraged by people online to emulate the Christchurch and Buffalo mass shooters. On the morning of the attack, he posted a picture on this app of what police believe was the revolver he used. Something very awful is happening to young people, and it’s mostly happening online.
