This Section 174 is baffling. All software R&D costs now have to be amortized over 5 years if done within the country, and an insane 15 years outside. Means you end up with phantom profits that don't match expenses, so big tax bills. Terrible for US software industry.

Remember back when we all read Clean Code and then to do one thing we wrote 25 small functions across several files instead of one 20-line function that you could look at and say "I know exactly what this function is doing"

I've been using this terminal app called thefuck for years and it still cracks me up because I'm 12. It corrects errors in previous console commands. So if you type the wrong thing, you just say 'fuck' and it gives you what you probably meant. github.com/nvbn/thefuck
