We HAVE to stop making wealth and the immoral hoarding of resources the popular definition of success. Achievement should be multi faceted, with social good having a far higher value. It’s not that hard to be rich. Rich and socially GOOD, that’s a whole different ball game.

@lucyallan If only we had an immigration & asylum system that treated new arrivals as we treat births in a hospital, in that there is a path to them becoming contributing members of society. If only you were a member of the governing party so you could help solve the problems you describe.

Today we welcomed @Keir_Starmer to Sunderland to see the smashing @BeaconofLight. The Beacon is at the centre of the community in Sunderland- it proves that investing in young people with education and opportunities and tackling poverty head on are the key to preventing crime.
