The only logical lens I can find to view the current trade policy is simply the administration believes a large scale global conflict is highly likely. Other lens work for trump but not the entire admin and some of the ramping retaliations.

Distribution has always been more important than engineering/code. This is multiplied by magnitudes with ai. Only people who think otherwise are idea guys. And coder idea guys are the worst…I was one for a long time.

Focusing on AGI for threshold of societal change is doing the world a disservice. AI in its current state with the right levers and wrappers is enough to have very, very big societal implications. AGI is just a faster implementation of that change through this lens.
