I p much start back in school full time this week, but over the last year and a bit I’ve worked with and in *a lot* of schools to look at reading I wanna touch on and talk about some common threads I think we have to think about as a profession that we possibly waste time doing.

I have spent hours on mapping out sentence structure for next year, EYFS - Y2 (separate to punctuation). ❤️ - Taught 🧡 - Secured 💚 - Automatic It’s a first draft (or so) but is anyone else in need of this, as I’m happy to share?

I keep record of the children’s participation in my lessons with a simple seating plan ticklist. I’ve found it really helpful to keep track of who is taking part and who might drop under the radar. Every child ticked by 9:30 today. Reasonable adjustments of course but works well.
