New Ghost is practically spooky Bon Jovi. And it fails on the "spooky" part quite often. Catchy tunes for sure. But while the last album hinted at it, this album IS the slide to full Hot Topic mode.

The new Nightwish album, Yesterwynde, is a masterpiece and a journey, bringing themes of joy, sadness and hope throughout I enjoyed their last two albums but didn't love them. Tuomas and crew pulling this out after 25 years and 10 albums is the best surprise I've had this year

I will always love how a band with the name CRADLE OF FILTH, with merchandise slogans like "JESUS IS A C**T" are actually one of the most classically intricate, beautifully orchestrated and poetic metal bands out there.

Deafheaven is exactly the kind of band that I have to love in solitary sadness. Absolutely brilliant music, but 99.99% of the people I know would never get past the vocal .....stylings.
