I noticed an issue with content creators who are here to specifically sell a service. They are too obsessed with their own service. Too trigger happy to start promoting. So they end up losing aura and seem like a shill. This is a habit brought from cold outreach, that doesn't translate well into content creation and more specifically, interruption marketing. When you market in the feed, like many of us, you're literally interrupting their flow with new information. People are interrupted successfully when you accurately talk about a symptom they have that prefaces a problem they already have. If you go ahead and state that they have a problem, you risk looking like a shill because no one likes being told what to do. But if you talk about a symptom that tons of people have, now you're having a conversation in their head. They think it's THEIR idea... And if the symptom is relatable to an existing business problem they have, now they are less receptive to you. I bet many of you identified with what I said in the first sentence of this post. Many of you are trying to grow businesses here and probably related to this. And if I had a solution to this problem, you would problem reach out or keep me in the loop. You do this often and you have an freaking content machine that will spit opportunities daily for you.
