Out @biorxivpreprint today! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We report the pre- and post-fusion structures of the Langya virus fusion (F) protein. Langya virus (LayV) is phlyogenetically distinct from Nipah virus and Hendra virus that, like LayV, also belong to the Henipavirus genus.

It is highly recommended that the time of cleavage be extended for removal of Pbf in Arg-rich sequences. An interesting alternative is to use the 1,2-Dimethylindole-3-sulfonyl (MIS) group bit.ly/2oIM00S lnkd.in/dgiYxQY
