@MasterMaliq @cryptotimeout Freedom also means freewill to choose to follow a religion or NOT. The idea that apostacy (leaving a religion), is a sin, and a sin which should be punished, is completely incompatible with a liberal enlightened society. Islam needs its own enlightenment.

@JohnCleese I recently saw her live stage chat show. So-so. A bit boorish and obvious. She is more interested in shocking than entertaining. It is possible to do both, but simply being crude without a purpose is tiresome. She underestimates her audience. I'm too old to be easily shocked.

@jonatanpallesen I think it is fair to say that females are more susceptible to social contagion than men. They like to fit in with whatever is the zeitgeist (however ridiculous), and that includes woke social 'justice'. The huge increase in gender dysphoria GIDS referrals is a classic example.

@afneil He was promoted well beyond his abilities. The pressure must have been intense, even before the scandal broke. He was used by Cambridge as a DEI trophy to flaunt their progressive virtue. I hope that they gave him support during his final days. Or did the abandon him?
