Neil Young - Oceanside Countryside Reprise - 2025 - clear vinyl. Yet another lost NY LP - recorded in 1977 but shelved in favour of Comes A Time. All the tracks have been released over the years but not in this stripped back acoustic form.

Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell Vertigo -1990 After sacking Ozzy Osbourne they turned to ex Rainbow vocalist Ronnie James Dio. A huge change as RJD also wrote lyrics, relegating Geezer to just bass. strong LP & a lot riding on it as Ozzy would launch his solo career the same year

Who - Who Sell Out Original 1967 - CD reissue 2021 Third LP & Townshend is already looking beyond basic rock & roll LPs - Tommy was up next. Interspersed with fake ads to make the whole thing sound like the pirate radio stations of the time. overlooked these days but a great LP

Black Sabbath - Technical Ecstasy Vertigo - 1976 Considered by many to be the runt of the Ozzy era litter - although I always thought Never Say Die was far worse. Slick production & extensive use of keys make it a very different beast to Paranoid etc.

Beggar’s Opera - Act 1 Vertigo - 1970 My journey through my Swirls reaches one of my favourite bands. Scottish prog outfit - released 4 LPs on Vertigo (3 Swirls) and all different from each other. This debut leans on classical music as the foundation.
