@stevegraham The same reason I go to Trader Joe's before starting my workday; I don't need anything, I just want to start my day talking to someone friendly instead of someone grumpy
@Kdenkss Also wondering if it affects diff ppl differentely depending on whether they engage in cold & rainy seasonal outdoor sports & activities or stay inside those months...
@Kdenkss @Kdenkss Could see this being true, but personally living in the NJ/PA area and season don't seem to affect my mood too much. Any cool research/data you've come across on this you can share? Would really love to see
@pdxbiker503 @RileyJSmith19@profgalloway Bro, that's not being pedantic, a little generosity here... I'm a fan of SG & find he has a lot of great ideas. This piece has very specific ideas of his readers' endgoals & ignores long term costs to this mindset; assumes ppl will flip modes at age 45, etc.
@AWeisman1ceSaid@MisterWeisman Not sure who the target audience is here. Can't be LGBTQ folks who struggle to reconcile their faith & queerness bec this is condescending (not explanatory) towards half their identity; def not relig straight ppl either.
Your content could be more helpful...
@brianpelliott @brianpelliott Just stumbled across your HBR article & as a newly minted mid manager over COVID @ a nonprofit, resonated so much w/ your ideas re building shared purpose & the struggle re what my role is. Any ideas/resources you'd suggest?
@ayaa00 In all fairness, the Jews in Teaneck are Orthodox and today is Shabbat, a day Orthodox Jews spend in synagogue, don't write, drive, or use electricity, so they obv wouldn't come out to protest.
@HappyNiss RYG is someone most in your community have learned directly or indirectly from and respect his Torah. I find your comments, esp on his writing style, immature, and if we're using Jewish lingo, a direct violation of public "lashon hara."
@HeerJeet If you're looking for an "after work" podcast, for when you have no patience for politics, current events, and everything wrong with society, but want something nice with your cup of tea on the couch, I suggest the @TheMoth
