A strategy with a good edge: Scan on Thursdays for heavily shorted stocks that have gone up on big volume during the week. Enter a long position on Thursday’s close to take advantage of weak hand short sellers not wanting to hold over the weekend.

Many of the huge gainers in today’s weak market were short squeezes. $GME $BBBY $FIZZ $GSX $NKLA $IRBT $CRSR $SDC $SPCE $WKHS all have greater than 30% of their float shorted. These names were up, on average, over 20% today, not including $GME which was up 135%.
