the irony of academia is that the stuff that matters to the university (books, articles etc) will be read by way less folks than the stuff that supposedly matters less (blog posts, podcast, public writing etc). Trust me: that blog post you wrote has been helpful to LOTS of folks

Doesn’t this data actually mean that the value of a completed degree program is less? Seems like we could take the classes that interest us and in which we want knowledge, skip the Hub requirement system, and leave the college to just get a job and live our lives.

Indeed, I said these things. If employees can work remote, they should. Any policy that says otherwise is trying to negotiate with reality, and that's a losing game.
