Cashflow Code @thecashflowcode

Your raise disappeared because your lifestyle got the raise, not you. The fix is boring. Bank half of it before you ever see it. Be honest, where did your last raise actually go?

An emergency fund is not an investment, it is a bouncer. Its whole job is stopping a bad week from turning into a bad year. Boring account, do not touch it. How many months would yours actually cover?

Nobody gets rich cutting lattes. You get rich cutting the big three: rent, car, insurance. Fix one of those once and you save every single month forever. Which one could you actually shrink this year?

@BlackMambaMilli @FinXRob A yield bearing emergency fund is the move everyone skips. People park it in a checking account earning nothing then wonder why saving feels pointless. What did you end up parking it in?

@WealthMissions @Jamesinvestuk Landing a job that actually lets you pay bills, chip at debt, and still invest a little is the real win here. Most people think it has to be one or the other. What field are you in?

@Sunfyre_GOT Financially empowered is exactly right, no guru speech needed for that feeling. What bill is getting the same treatment next?

@kxycals That first payoff hits different, real adulting unlocked. What's next, building the emergency fund or attacking another card?

Your car payment is not a bill, it is a subscription to looking successful. 600 a month for six years is 43,000 you set on fire. Buy the boring car, invest the difference. What is your car actually costing you?

200 a month at 8 percent turns into about 34,000 in 10 years. You only put in 24,000. The rest is money working while you nap. The annoying catch, it only works if you start now. So what is the holdup?

@Lacedmushroom The paid off home on wheels never gets the credit it deserves. People will judge that before they judge the phone payment plan. What finally got the hairdresser example to click for you?

@ramit Tell them the number was never the problem, the trust was. Three advisors already gave them the math, what they need now is permission. Retire, then adjust if reality looks different. What do you think is actually scaring them?

The trick to saving more is to never see the money. Auto transfer the day after payday, start embarrassingly small, raise it when nobody is looking. What is one number you could move automatically this week?

@thewildpinkrose @DailyXFlowers Killing a 24% card balance is a guaranteed 24% return. No stock pick beats that with zero risk. Only thing I would grab first is a full 401k match, since that is free money you cannot claw back later. Everything else waits.

@slamwontmiss The income was never the problem. $160k a year and still buried just means the money left as fast as it showed up. Nobody outearns a leaky budget. Still rooting for him though, 65 is not too late to fix it. What would you tell him to cut first?

Do not invest a single dollar until you have one boring month of expenses saved. Yes, boring. It is the thing that stops one flat tire from becoming credit card debt. Got your one month yet, yes or no?

@shortt_stufff Not a scam, just dumb math. A zero balance can read as no activity, so the score dips. Let one card report a small balance each month and pay it in full. It usually bounces back in two cycles.

@dontreadmetwice Congrats, that first zero balance is a real one. Do not close the card though. Keeping it open with almost nothing on it quietly helps your score. What is next on the payoff list?

The minimum payment is not a friendly suggestion, it is a trap with a bow on it. On a 5,000 balance at 22 percent it can cost you years. Pick a fixed number above it and never blink. How much do you throw at debt monthly?

@muslimfinancier Step one gets skipped the most because it is boring. Nobody screenshots a savings account just sitting there. But it is the exact thing that stops you sliding right back into the debt you cleared. Where do you land, three months or six?

@lifeoflivvvv Savings for once AND a zero balance is a bigger flex than any of the money advice on this app. Not living paycheck to paycheck changes how the whole month feels. What clicked for you first?
