Work like hell on finding your edge. Backtest it as much as possible. Trade and trade again until no emotion can ever be imbedded into each trade you place. Trade like a machine and set up hard cold rules to protect yourself against your wrong beliefs. Trade reality, not dreams.

For good traders, the day's trading session is all about execution. For bad traders, it’s about making decisions. Good trading doesn’t typically involve much in-the-moment decision-making. Most decisions, like entries and exits, are already pre-determined by rules/plans/systems.

A system is just a set routine for getting something done. The benefit is having your actions predetermined so you don’t forget them or get off track. Follow a system long enough and it becomes your habit pattern. So systems are also programming for humans.
