Very brief pressure drop (~ 3 mb) from the backyard station as a weak tornado moved by to the south. Guessing we were very near (or… in) the outer limits of the circulation, thankfully on the side opposing forward translation.

One of the things I’ve seen that concerns me is the idea that “early convection will wash tomorrow out.” When the entire warm sector is sitting at 90% relative humidity, cold pools just aren’t going to be what they normally are.

Guessing we were very near (or… in) the outer limits of the circulation, thankfully on the side opposing forward translation.
Scary to think what might have happened if things like proms, Norman Music Festival would’ve been going on when the dangerous storms moved in.

Risk of tornadoes in central OK on Friday at 3:30pm has greatly increased. I am very sorry to everyone in Cleveland county, but this is indeed a valid forecasting tool.
