While tariffs represent abstract uncertainty to most consumers today, there is a high likelihood they will become a tangible threat when prices rise as a result. FWIW - I am not sure how much those at the bottom can take. Their "stacked vulnerabilities" are especially heavy.

Another thing to note about the 1M bill yields is that there is an entire class of money funds who can ONLY buy Treasures. Those guys will have to buy bills no matter the price, and they are choosing 1M to avoid default risk. Here is FDLXX, a $4b fund gobbling up bills
