“Screaming eagle" type feature over the eastern #CaribbeanSea south of #PuertoRico. It is a weak disturbance similar to a tropical wave. Its cloud pattern resembles that of an eagle's head. They can bring heavy showers, with gusty winds.

2/14: Caribbean Sea Gale Warning - NE Gales are expected just north of NW Colombia tonight and Thursday night. Expected impacts are for peak NE winds of 40 kt and highest Seas of 14 ft.
2/14: Very Large Swell: An extensive area of very large W to NW swell will generally stay north of 25N and east of 70W from now through Saturday. Wave heights are forecast in the range of 12-20 ft with a period of 12-15 seconds.
8 Feb 2024: Seas of 5-7 ft are being generated in the central and east #Caribbean from WNW #swell behind a cold front. The graphics below show the forecast for today and tonight, as well as measurements from a @databuoycenter buoy number 42059, depicting wave height and period.
[1:35pm EST Feb.7] High seas over most of the #AtlanticOcean forecast waters west of 65W will continue into Thursday. Peak wave heights are up to 23ft just northeast of the NW #Bahamas. For more marine information see: hurricanes.gov/marine #marinewx

[Mar. 25 1:30pm CDT] #GOESE imagery shows a weak front over the NW #GulfofMexico, and interestingly, a small cyclonic swirl of low clouds is SE of Tampico, #Mexico. Its formation most likely aided by the wind flow across the terrain of eastern Mexico.
