@AvirlaChlo leg press always sneaks up on you like that. having a snack an hour or so before and sipping water between sets helps a ton next time. glad your coach had you
how heavy should you lift as a beginner? pick a weight you could do 2-3 more reps with. if the last rep looks ugly, it's too heavy. that's honestly the whole rule
@charjrryuki pushups at work plus the bike every day is a solid combo. smart not checking the scale till november too, it bounces around day to day and just messes with your head
@cristalidamxo the next morning soreness is real. a short walk and actually going back for your next session makes it fade way faster, sounds backwards but it works
@1FinessinLingo high school was the last time for a lot of people lol. 3 days a week, 5 basic machines, 30-40 min. you'll feel like you know what you're doing way faster than you think
@nikitychan hope it went ok! the nerves drop a ton after the first 2 or 3 trips. having your exercises on your phone helps a lot so you're never just standing around
the guy grunting on the bench isn't grading your form. he's counting his own reps and thinking about his next set. stay in your lane, run your plan, go home
gym anxiety hack: pick one corner and do your whole first week there. leg press, chest press, cable row, done. you don't have to learn the entire gym on day 1
@TheHansEffectTv once I got out and didn't have structured pt anymore, my fitness slipped big time. I had to start fresh and figure out how to do it on my own
If you don't know what weight to pick, do 10 reps and ask yourself if you could've done 2 or 3 more. Yes = good weight. Easily 10 more = go up. Couldn't finish = go down.
