Can't keep track of how many patients have high triglycerides and low hdl and their provider says nothing or tells them they are fine. If you have abnormal labs your provider owes you an explanation. If they can't explain....run.
What if doctors were only compensated if you got better? 🤔
Patient 62 years old ldl 112 normal trigs, hdl, but lpa 76. Crp 1.5. Normal insulin level (7). Ca score 230. What to do? Cards would say statin but that makes lpa go up and increases ca score over 8 years. Doesn't make sense to me. Thoughts?
A high omega-6 diet basically rots your body. Carbs just run the rusty engine harder. This is why a low carb diet seems like magic to most people in the modern world. You’re slowing down the seed oil damage. This is literally how many prescription drugs work!
Irony: All the excess carbs we eat on a low fat diet end up as saturated fat (triglycerides)....but saturated fat is bad....

@tyromper I refer to corporate success as “golden handcuffs.” I did not see it until I was 40. That is when I stepped off the hamster wheel. I met a man and we had a baby. I started doing consulting part-time to balance making money with being there to raise our daughter.
@theodwest @JoshuaDurhamDO We spend our lives in slow decline and we think it's "normal." I never recognized how sick I was because it was such a slow process. Once healthy you feel everything that is wrong, that you once used to be numb to. It is crazy how awesome you can feel.

@carnivore_jt Not sure I would have survived though b/c my blood glucose spikes with Reactive Hypoglycemia would have been terrible. So bottom line? A calorie is not a calorie. 4000 calories SAD x 2 weeks = gain 10 lb 4000 calories Carnivore x 2 weeks = no weight gain
