You don’t understand why a diagnosis means so much to us, but that’s because you didn’t go your entire life wondering why you were different, and being excluded, shamed, mocked and misunderstood because of it. Diagnosis literally saved my life.

@SusanGodsland When phonics is wrongly presented as infant stuff and not the domain of literate adults, any ‘intervention’ for older learners is potentially humiliating as everyone -young and old - thinks it’s baby stuff. The DfE continues to commission phonics validators who are unknown.
