It will increase anxiety for those desperate for their end of year award ('what if I get ill?') and it won't support school refusers/those who find the school environment challenging. It's a lazy and out-of-date way to promote good attendance.

I'm horrified when I see schools use 100% attendance rewards. Of course we want children in school, but it promotes a culture of attending when ill- we have sick days for a reason. It actively goes against positive wellbeing and will continue into adulthood - make it stop!

I don’t usually post personal news but Clinicians have told us to pull every lever. Our daughter has with #dipg Brain cancer. There is no cure and typically 9m life expectancy. If anyone knows of trials then please get in contact! #braincancer #childrenscancer @CR_UK

Good afternoon folks, a mate has sent me this, young kid in his care. Kid has come into care with literally nothing, we've boxed him some stuff out, he's now got a coat and he can half a dozen pairs of my trainees, just needs other bits, I gladly collect after the weekend. ❤️🙏
