I had a family member who didn’t learn that she peed & gave birth from separate orifices until she was in her 90s. THAT’S what you get when parents insist schools not handle health education.

@tbailey1985 @CoraCHarrington @omghelayna It’s never too young to use proper names for body parts. Using baby words like “peepee” only reinforces the notion that there’s is something inherently shameful about our bodies, making it easy for abusers to silence through shame.

It’s opt-out for a reason; too many would refuse & let their kids wallow in ignorance & shame.

@Sarah_Haar_ I was at a pre-Google party & a guy got REALLY angry at me bc I insisted The Cranberries were from Ireland. Screamed in my face that they couldn’t possibly be Irish because HE was OF IRISH ANCESTRY and he would know if they were Irish or not 🫠
