I have seen a huge difference in Michael in the last few weeks. He's happy, laughing, "talking" walking lots, and blowing my mind on a daily basis. He came home from school today and just broke my heart in the best way ever. Children know more than we know. We Got This.
I'm not shocked either the lack of support from those who should and can help is soul distroying. My son got NO RESPITE over summer now that he's gone back to school he's got two nights. It's worse when family are 3, 4 and 5 hours drive away

@irishexaminer tell that to parents of kids with disabilities. Continually forced to take the lawbreaking @HSELive to the High Court. Taxpayer funds being squandered on legal fees to block our most vulnerable kids accessing services. The HSE make the church look like choir boys.
@OrlaMitchC Orla, totally agree with you. Thanks for your advocacy for all children. Thank you to your boy also. It’s not right what he has to endure. It’s in writing now. It’s an instruction and it must be followed. All parents should highlight any deficits in care going forward.

@OrlaMitchC @HSELive @BernardGloster Adult services aren’t much better. I have spina bifida & hydrocephalus. I have kidney issues myself & didn’t see my specialist in 2020 at all or have any of routine annual tests. I was admitted with a very bad uti. 2 days in A&E & 5 being isolated due to covid in the hospital
@OrlaMitchC @HSELive @BernardGloster I don’t live close enough to collect from there as I live in Tallaght. But I’ve rarely had issues, which I know isn’t the case everywhere. The issues I have are mainly hospital waiting lists which are problematic everywhere unfortunately
Single mother of 3. Daughter is medically complex I'm fighting for delivery of her life saving medical supplies. I receive 30 boxes a month which is 3 car runs and I can't leave my daughter in the car alone! Why is there no delivery in co.waterford @HSELive @BernardGloster
The gate keepers of funding must be instructed to release funds for the provision of services/equipment. This is where proper oversight/governance comes in. Why are we seeing issues like this over & over ? @BernardGloster @HSELive @OrlaMitchC child experienced similar.
Can someone in @HSELive tell me how the hell the RAG process works How can a child's application be approved, yet they will not release the funds to get a speech device that is basically a child's voice? I'd love to take their voices away for a day, see how long they would last
@BernardGloster rag applications approved after my son's have been processed and their orders are on the way. I agree every child deserves their equipment, but why is my son left to be misunderstood again....... I suppose it is another thing to add to our ongoing court case!!!
