On Last Week and Jesus Most of my friends are politically and socially on the right. So I intentionally listen to friends on the left too so as to honor them. Their diverse reactions to last week’s horrible events surprised me. I knew little about the people hurt, so I listened.

Cellophane tape—no matter how careful you are, it will reattach itself to the roll and disappear. When you finally find the edge, the tape will split … minutes become hours … finally you give up in frustration and purchase a new roll …

Just found a guy in my back yard holding a brick, scraping on it with a twig. Told me he was looking at a painting. Then he took the time to show me how to do it. He said it was like watching a movie as different things emerged in the picture. All I saw was a brick.

I'm reading Numbers 12. Can't help but find humor that Miriam and Aaron made a fuss about Moses being married to an Ethiopian. Then Miriam ended up with her skin being a bit too white.
