My 8 year old did not have school today and so she came to the law school. Halfway through a class that I am teaching, she silently holds this sign in front of her.

@smmarotta Writing a brief that follows the template of other PUBLICLY FILED briefs is exactly what I would expect from a competent lawyer in a two-person law firm. It's not that hard, Sean.
Because all good lawyers went to Ivy League schools and work at large firms. Impossible that quality arguments and good writing can come from anywhere else. You can’t even use small caps if you didn’t go to a T-14. They turn the option off in word.

My high school swimming coach made me a distance swimmer and excused me from breaststroke to take it easy on my knees and hips. My middle school volleyball coach excused me from running laps and gave me sit ups and other exercises instead. They changed my life. I didn’t even ask.
