What an insane overperformance today. Wish I was on the Omaha area cells but oh well, had a nice little tornadofest on the surface low. Observed 4-5 brief tornadoes, 3 ropes and 2 wedges/cones that were intermittently condensed.
Tornado approx. 4-5 miles west of Newman Grove, NE at 3:42 PM.
It’s chase day! Headed to eastern Nebraska to play the surface low.

My hand analysis of Friday’s tornado outbreak, valid at 21 UTC. The Elkhorn EF3 is demarcated by the red upside down triangle. Doesn’t get any more perfect than that. This was done on 11 x 17” paper.
@KBow_Photo @WxGabe I think the conversations aren't coming from the right place. There's people that are convinced things are 5s. And other (me) that trust the process. Maybe instead, there should be more focus on if the scale is adequate as is. And I know that gets addressed. But is it enough?
@mattlanza @KBow_Photo I agree with this entirely. I think their intuition is correct, but there is a solution (new damage scale) on the way. So I’m relaxed about it, knowing that these issues will be addressed eventually.
