Every week we take apart a real funnel, from the ad to the last email, and hand it to your agent to build from. Works with any agent. Free to start.boringfunnels.com MCPJoined February 2024
TODAY AT 11AM ET i'm running my first ever free workshop. i open up the AI system i run for my own local business, then walk through the one i built for a real local business, decision by decision.
the hyper-local ads, how i'd land the first 2-3 clients, how i'd price it. open Q&A at the end.
can't make it live? the replay only goes to people who register: luma.com/9431rfpu
that page is one piece. tomorrow at 11am ET i build the whole service for a local business, live, from picking the niche to what i'd charge:

search ads: the page is the leak. local services ads: the phone is the leak.
local businesses run two kinds of Google ads.
search ads send people to a page. check the first screen: a call button, the ad's promise, the reviews.
local services ads and Maps listings often skip the page and go straight to a call. there, the leak is whoever picks up. only 52% of inbound calls to home services companies reach a person.
the Ads Transparency Center shows where their ad goes without clicking it and costing them money.
know which one they run before you pitch them a page.
rule #1 for selling AI marketing to local businesses: run it on your own first.
mine is a diesel repair business. tomorrow i'm opening up the system i run on it, then walking through the one i built for this workshop: niche, offer, funnel, monthly price.
link's in the reply.
i run the marketing for a diesel repair business myself. this Thursday, i'm showing the actual AI system behind it, then walking through the one i'm building for a real local business.
the niche, the ad, the page, the follow-up, the offer, and what i'd charge for it every month. every decision and why.
90 minutes, free. link's in the reply.

i had my agent tap a junk removal company's ad on a phone. their number wasn't written out until screen 27 of 28.
the first screen was the logo and six service buttons. their 5.0 from 1,265 Google reviews first showed up on screen 15.
the page my agent built them puts three things on the first screen:
- "same-day junk removal" and a call button with their real number
- "price before any work begins, no hidden fees", taken from their own ads
- 5.0 from 1,265 reviews, veteran-owned, and their hours
the ad already made the promise. the first screen has to keep it, show the proof and let them call.
"everyone uses AI now." it was 19.8% of US businesses in May (23.8% as of October), and that can mean one prompt to ChatGPT with no context.
walk down Main Street and ask.
- they don't know what good looks like or which questions to ask.
- scheduling a task is new to them.
- building a page and optimizing it to convert isn't on the list.
the things that feel basic to you are the opportunity.

tell your agent a trade and a city. this is what comes back:
estate and commercial cleanouts, New Jersey
100 on Google Maps
83 with a website
24 getting new reviews
10 running Google ads
11 look like $2M+ a year, by our estimate
each card has the size, the rating, the ad count and the leak. the biggest, around $10M to $25M a year, is running 40 Google ads to a page where the ad's promise isn't on the first screen.
i built this into Boring Funnels because sizing a list used to take me a day of open tabs. now it takes about a minute.
89 of those 100 were never worth an email. size them before you pitch them.
say a roofer spends $9K a month on ads and gets 40 leads. the average roof is $32,000.
more booked inspections from those 40 leads means more roofs sold. at $32,000 a roof, that's the whole pitch.
what gets them there: a better offer, better copy, a more persuasive layout, in steps that end with a call or a tech at the house.
if leads go up and booked jobs don't, the problem is the phone, not the funnel. fix the follow-up first.
3 files that run client outreach for an AI services business:
1. a scorecard. rank niches and businesses by how bad their marketing is. scrape their sites and have your agent compare each one to funnels that work. i have a teardown tool in Boring Funnels that finds the gaps.
2. your offers. how you position and sell, and what's working.
3. a call log. log every call and upload the transcript to your agent.
the pitch gets sharper with every call you log.
a lot of people ask me how to start an AI services business with no experience. the answer is one good case study.
don't get caught up on pricing yet.
build a couple of funnels for free.
learn the industry, the client and their challenges.
get the testimonial. then start charging.
one case study first. pricing after.
