In other news, the 1-seeds are really good this year. Also a cluster of good teams with @IlliniMBB (arrow) around the 6/7 line, plus a couple of big outliers (@ZagMBB ☝️ | @Memphis_MBB 👇) around the 7/8 line. As usual, the roll-off in quality is faster for the AQ teams (12-16)

Pi Day update to seeds vs. quality. 14 AQs are now set, so the AQ-only picture (orange) is starting to resemble Selection Sunday - but lots of motion still possible for at-larges (blue). A big drop-off in the 4-6 seed range remains. @IllinoisLoyalty @IlliniBoard @ALionEye

Morning update for 3/11. Added AQ-only teams this time - the trendline is still only for at large bids, but this now shows likely 1st round opponents for 1-5 seeds as well.

New for 2024 - average rating (from @kenpomeroy, @EvanMiya, and @totally_t_bomb) vs. average seed (bracketmatrix.com) for at-large teams. Teams above dotted line = "tougher than their seed", teams below = "easier". Good for @IlliniMBB: likely 5-6 seeds all below the line.
